PNA challenges you in 7 ways this Women’s Day

Women's Month

Happy Women’s Day! We hope that you reading this blog are being celebrated by your loved ones with special gifts, gestures, and colourful memories.

We often hear bad news about things that happened to women. Things no one deserves. It’s a sad world we live in, and even though many of us try to accommodate others, making them feel appreciated or like they fit in somewhere, there are still very broken women souls out there…

She might work at the garage, filling your tank in the mornings. She might be the one serving you your coffee in the mornings. She might be the one passing you every day in a shared office space. She might be your colleague. She can be anyone!

She can be anyone!

Women often get undermined, misunderstood, and mistreated. This isn’t right, and it isn’t fair, and because of this, women tend to hide and back off with their personalities, abilities, and talent. They feel they can’t be who they want to be, what they want to be or express themselves freely with these societal barriers. Well, we want to tell you today that you can be anyone.

Anyone, yet still yourself. As part of PNA’s principles, we believe in being kind, and we want to encourage you to spend today helping us by spreading kindness. We have 7 ways for you to celebrate yourself and the women surrounding you.

7 Ways to celebrate Women’s Day 2022

  1. Dish out flowers

Whether from your garden or a bouquet you bought from your nearest supermarket, give a flower to each woman who passes you today. You don’t have to say anything; a simple smile speaks much louder.

  1. Give some time

If you are in the position to give women staff the afternoon off or even an hour or two, we promise it will mean so much to them. They will use their time wisely to attend to something important they might not haven’t even mentioned.

  1. Speak up on their behalf

The perfect gift is knowing someone stands with you. Choose to fight gender bias. Whether at work regarding rights, equality, freedom, work, or salary, or whether at home where a woman is being offended or abused.

  1. Buy a gift with meaning

It’s easy to buy a gift, but it’s better to buy a meaningful gift. Pop into your nearest PNA store for a gift with meaning. Whether she likes painting, reading or just being, we have the unique gift for the lady in your thoughts right now.

  1. Get involved in women’s causes

Have you ever been so afraid of something or someone, but as soon as you realise that there’s a friendly stranger in the vicinity, you immediately feel better? It’s impossible to list everything women struggle with, but you can start with one. Just try and help.

  1. Compliments won’t cost you a cent

Tell women how amazing they are. Words are more powerful than actions. If you see something that catches your eye from a particular woman, stop her to tell her that her hair is nicely done or that her make-up is beautiful. Better yet, if you know the person, sit down, and have a coffee with her – talk and tell her how strong she is. If you’re not so good with words, choose a suitable song and send it to her.

  1. Post to social media

Whether you’re on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, make it today’s mission to take a selfie with every woman you interact with and post it to your account with a short description and perhaps #WomenRock or #WeAreWomen. Have fun with your sister from another mister.

There are many ways to celebrate Women’s Day, and we most often spend it with people we know. However, we challenge you to involve other women in your activities too this year. Let’s see some kindness! After all, ‘who run the world?’
