Easy and Affordable Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

January is done, and it’s finally February – the month of love! During this month, and on 14 February lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts, which is absolutely special, however, if one’s love is expressed through their words and behaviour – even more so!

This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday, which means that we don’t have just one day, but the entire weekend to show our love and affection to the ones we love most. Maybe you’ve been searching for special promotions from the last week in January, or you have just no idea what to get or plan this year. Nevertheless, and like always, we will inspire you with some easy and affordable DIY Valentine’s Day gift ideas for him. Remember to visit your nearest PNA store for all the supplies you might need…

DIY Valentine’s Gift Ideas for Him

  • Romantic Flour Hearts: Start or end the day with a lawn full of flour hearts. Purchase coloured paper from PNA, cut out large hearts and use the remaining paper to pour flour-hearts as visual effects on the lawn. The cut-out hearts could be used as super romantic floor art either as steps to the lawn or inside the house to a romantic dinner setup.
  • A Jar of Reasons: Use a mason jar and decorate it with ribbons, felt hearts, and other items from PNA. Write on themed scrapbooking paper reasons why you love him. This could be used as a decorative piece. Additionally, you could wrap the jar with twine too. This gift will bring a guaranteed smile to his face when he knows what makes you adore him.
  • Banana Loaf Wrappers: This could be a fun arts and crafts activity, especially if he likes banana bread. Bake miniature loaves and give it to him as breakfast. Wrap the loaves with cellophane sheets and attach the wrappers to it with clear tape.
  • Extraordinary Love Letters: If you’re a fan of embroidery, you’re going to love making this! Search material with a wooden texture and stitch your initials with a heart to it (almost like carving into a tree trunk). Wrap and glue the material to cardboard and place it into a photo frame. You can use other colour schemes too, with brighter hues and longer messages. This something out-of-the-box for sure!
  • On-the-hour Gift Envelopes: A couple of small gifts throughout the day, is better than one gift! Give him one envelope every hour with diversified gifts such as a love letter, an invite to his favourite restaurant, a voucher to a coffee shop or café, a note to pick up a book you’ve bought from a book store, romantic notes, photos of you both – when you met, dated, got engaged, got married, with each of your children, and little Valentine’s candies. Purchase the envelopes from PNA and make your own on-the-hour labels for each. If this isn’t romantic, then we don’t know what is!

Whatever gift or gestures you decide to go with, ensure that you have fun in selecting, and creating your gifts and that your man has fun and appreciates your efforts too. Happy Valentine’s Day!
