Rejoice! It’s World Watercolour Month! We want you to celebrate creativity through the use of watercolour. Art has always been an expression of the human soul, and what better way to use one of the most ancient art forms – watercolour painting.

If we have your attention, you will most definitely love the fact that we’re joining the rest of the world in 31 days of watercolour, and we invite you to post your masterpieces on social media and tag us! On Facebook – @pnacolouryourworld, Instagram – @pnasouthafrica or Twitter – @PNASouthAfrica.

Head to your favourite art store, obviously PNA (wink-wink), and pick up a container of watercolour paints and canvases and put your creativity to the test. Then, post it online using the hashtag #WorldWatercolorMonth.

You don’t have to use just watercolour. You may definitely complement it with other mediums such as markers, glitter, pens or whatever suits your style best, but ensure that watercolour remains the star! This challenge is for all skill levels and all methods of watercolour.

• It’s even more fun to paint with friends, so plan a virtual ZOOM picnic to create your masterpieces together or sketch walk in your local town (just remember to social distance from others and to wear your mask).
• Haven’t tried watercolour before? Give it a try for the first time this month!
• Have your kids try watercolour painting (and paint with them, of course!).
• Support a watercolour artist you enjoy by purchasing one of their beautiful paintings or products for your home – search artists here on our tagged Instagram posts.
• Share the watercolour work of other artists you love.
