PNA How to Watercolour Paint Geometric Shapes

Everybody loves geometric shapes. You see them everywhere, every day. We decided to combine some with watercolour paints and gold leaf.

You will need:

  • Watercolour paints
  • Different sized brushes
  • Gold leaf
  • Gold leaf size
  • Watercolour/multimedia paper
  • Ruler

STEP 1:

First things first. Use a ruler to create the shapes you want to paint. We decided to go with triangles.

STEP 2:

Fill your shapes with gradients or solid colours.

STEP 3:

Draw some patterns on your shapes. Use a hard pencil so to minimize any pencil marks showing underneath the paint.

STEP 4:

Paint your shapes with a slightly darker shade.

STEP 5:

Add gold leaf size to the areas you want to gold leaf. Leave for about 30min until the glue gets tacky.

Carefully add the gold leaf and brush off the excess with a soft brush.
