Vision Board Day: Visualising Your Dreams On Your Own Inspiration Board

Vision Board Day

It’s that time of year again! Time to take a closer look at your vision board, rethink some goals, remove some you already achieved, and envision some new ones. Don’t have a vision board? Well, it’s time to take action and make yourself one. We’re going to help!

Every second Saturday of January, people worldwide put some time aside to envision their goals and dreams for the year to come – this day is called Vision Board Day! The beginning of the year is the perfect time to do so. It’s an opportunity to think about the future and what you need for it to happen.

What is a vision board?

A vision board is a powerful tool to help you manifest your goals. It’s an easy way to focus on all the things you want in life. A vision board is a tool of manifestation. It’s a collage of images and words representing what you want in your life. The idea behind the vision board is to think positively about your future without focusing on all the negativity that can come with it, such as fear or uncertainty. By using this technique, you can focus on what you want rather than what you don’t have and, therefore, attract more positivity into your life! You may find yourself getting excited as new opportunities arise because they were created from within.

Start by asking yourself the following: What do I want? What don’t I want? Is there anything holding me back from achieving these things right now? If so, how can they be overcome or eliminated? What are some of the things that will help make this vision come true and will give meaning and purpose to my life? Answering these questions will help spark ideas around what should go on your vision board.

How to make your own vision board

The wonderful thing about making this inspiration board is that you cannot do it wrong. It is your board. Your dreams. You can be as creative as you want to be. Get those creative juices flowing. The easiest place to find great inspiration is on the internet or in magazines. Save things that inspire you or dreams you want to achieve. Pin them on your Pinterest profile for later, or save them on Instagram and Facebook. It is the easiest way to get your creative juices flowing.

Some ideas to focus on if you are struggling: career, health, house, travel, finances, relationships, car, and inspiring quotes. Remember, this can be anything. You might want to go on a trip somewhere, take a new class or course, try out new food in town, or apply for a new job. Plan out some important things that need to go on the board.

Then it’s time to get yourself a board. This can be any type of board. A corkboard, wooden board, pegboard, large cardboard poster, or maybe you want to allocate a wall in your house for this. It’s all up to you.

Now you can print or cut out those images you’ve saved that inspire you most and represent what you want to achieve. The next best step is to lay out your images in a collage-like formation before you start sticking or pinning them so that they’re visually pleasing to you. You can now stick, tape, pin, or attach your images to your board. Don’t forget to add some inspiring quotes or affirmations to your board. You can also add any other decorative items such as glitter, coloured paper, dried flowers, ribbon, stickers, etc., to make it beautiful. Next, hang the board somewhere where it’ll be visible every day. Every time you see it, it will remind you of what you are working for – a visual representation of what you want to achieve.
