You know that blank wall you have been meaning to decorate? With this easy step by step you have no excuse but to make something worth looking at!
Supplies:
- All products purchased at PNA.
- A pine board.
- Heritage brown acrylic paint.
- Your design on a piece of paper.
- Wet wipes.
- Two colours of yarn.
- And your nails ( 32 x 1.50 mm) at a hardware store.
- And a hammer.
Method:
Step 1: Prepare wood by sanding.
Step 2: Apply heritage brown paint.
Step 3: Wipe excess paint off by using wet wipes to give a rustic effect. Repeat these steps until desired effect.
Step 4: Cut out your picture, and place it on the board.
Step 5: Start by hammering the nails on the dots; carry on doing this until the picture is complete.
Step 6: Remove the paper from your board.
Step 7: Tie your first yarn colour to a nail two times and string your yarn until you are happy with the effect.
Step 8: To end the first colour, double tie a knot around a nail. Cut and leave a piece of yarn and tuck it away underneath.
Step 9: Start your second colour by using the same steps as above. Do your outlines first, and then start filling up your design.
