Plaster of Paris Doorstep

List of supplies:

  • 2kg of Plaster of Paris
  • 1L Water
  • Mixing bowl
  • Plastic mould for the doorstop
  • 35cm Nylon rope
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Stencil
  • Masking tape
  • Cooking oil or Spray & Cook

Method:

  1. Mix Plaster of Paris with water in a mixing bowl according to instructions on the pack.
  2. Prepare the rope by folding and securing it with masking tape.
  3. Prepare the mould by lubricating with cooking oil.
  4. Scoop plaster mixture into the mould and set the rope in the centre of the mould.
  5. Leave to set for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the doorstop from mould.
  7. Paint and decorate the doorstop to your liking.
