Life after the exams | Crafting ideas to look forward to

It might not seem like it, but there really is a silver lining to the exams. While you do still need to be concentrating on studying, a little peek at what the holidays have in store won’t hurt anyone – and we won’t tell. 😉 No need to hit-up Pinterest, because we already did, and these are some of our planned DIY musts!

Revamp an old table

Be it an end table, a cozy bookshelf or even your entire desk, we’re sure your room is in dire need of a fresh new look after the dreary exam period! Besides, who wouldn’t want to flex their creative muscles after all that thinking? To create a one-of-kind table like this one you’ll need:

  • Fabric
  • Modge Podge
  • Soft paint brush
  • Clear water-based polyurethane
  • Scissors
  • X-Acto knife

DIY wall clock from scratch

You’ll be seeing a lot of the moon once the stresses are behind you. Late nights and friendly laughs all around – that’s what the holidays are all about.

Create your very own moon clock by printing out a round image of the moon and sticking it unto a corkboard cut-out of the same round image. Then, make a hole in the center of the clock and glue the watch mechanism to the back of it. Fasten the arms to the watch mechanism and watch it tick away!

DIY desk organizer

Imagine the satisfying feeling of finally being able to pack your books and papers away until next year! Well, after you’ve sorted, stored and threw all the stuff out you won’t need, you’ll want something handy to keep the papers you do want neat and tidy. We love this DIY option, and would you believe it! It’s made from common clothes hangers, so it won’t even cost you an arm and a leg!

Let us know if you’re planning to give any of these DIY options a try and don’t forget to post your DIY’s to our Facebook and Instagram pages! We’d love to see what you come up with!
