Kids Crafts, what fun! Schools are officially on break but trying to keep the kids entertained indoors doesn’t need to cost a fortune. What if we told you that we have some fun crafting ideas lined up for your kids to try – giving you some well-deserved TLC time! Beat the bores with peg aeroplanes, gooey green slime and paper robot toys!
These quick and easy aeroplanes are fun to make and keep the boredom at bay. You might even have all the goodies laying around the house already. Ready. Set. Craft!
Warning: this one will require you to step in, but only for the shortest amount of time. We are all about safe crafting so remember to use the hot glue with care and store out of reaching hands when you’re done with it.

Next up, oo-ey-gooey slime! This one is for older kids who have stopped teething and understand not to put everything in their mouths. If your little ones are a bit older, they can make this fun science experiment from the comfort of your kitchen. And oh boy, playing with slime is so much fun! Just remember to knead the slime enough so that everything gets mixed evenly and form a smoother slime. It should move as one cohesive unit. Once your little ones are done playing with the slime, store it in an airtight container and keep for several weeks. To get the full recipe, click here.
Oh, and don’t worry if it gets stuck in the carpet. It dissolves quite easily when you rub some vinegar over it.
Paper robot toys
While we love spoiling the kids with new toys, saving a buck or two is a much better feeling, don’t you agree? We just adore these recycled cardboard robot toys! It is also a good way to teach your kids the importance of recycling and how we can all pitch in to help keep our neighbourhoods rubbish free. Get the full tutorial here.
