Favours for foodies

We don’t know about you, but we automatically feel at home around good conversation and snacks. Something sweet, spicy and flavourful is a great alternative to little trinkets that get lost as soon as you leave the party. These however have a slim chance of making it to the car without a nibble or two.

Caramel apple in a jar

Perfect for grown-ups and kids alike, the caramel apple in a jar is a fun take-home present. Best of all: this favour can be made IN the jar! Melt the caramels inside the jar and dip the apple, making sure it is evenly coated. Then dip it in the little chocolatey sweets. Easy as pie!

Homemade glitter marshmallows

Soft, fluffy and delicious! Who doesn’t love a good marshmallow? Our suggestion: end the night off with a nice, hot mug of hot chocolate and plonk these little bad-boys into the drink for a magical end to a fantastic party!

To make the marshmallows you’ll need:

  • 3 packages unflavoured gelatine
  • 1 cup ice cold water
  • 12 ounces granulated sugar, approximately 1 ½ cups
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar
  • ¼ cup corn starch
  • Non-stick spray

Favours for the home

How do you start a party? It starts by inviting your friends and having a lekker braai as you gossip around the fire. This little favour will definitely come in handy at your next braai. To make these favours you’ll need:

  • White Beeswax
  • Dry Pine Cones
  • Candle Wick
  • Large Tin Can
  • Sauce Pan
  • Drying Rack
  • Tongs

And don’t forget the goodie bags! We’re loving vibrant colours this summer and putting a fresh new twist on a boring brown bag is what we live for! Perfect for any SpongeBob-under-the-sea kids party or quirky Hawaiian blowout.
